Let yourself be guided by our suggestions

Start your journey from Corso Vittorio Emanuele, crossing the road in front of the B&B and, turning left, walk to Piazza Portanova, from where you enter the oldest part of the city.

Along Via Mercanti, turn right and enter Via Duomo to visit the historic Duomo of the city. Go down to Via Mercanti and, continuing to go towards the sea, you will cross Via Roma. Follow it always going right looking at the sea and let yourself be tempted by one of the many bars and restaurants that characterize the area.

Arrived at the end of the road, you will reach the Villa Comunale of Salerno, with its many botanical diversity, where it is possible to taste an excellent lemon sorbet at the kiosk there.

Now always head towards the sea to reach Piazza della Libertà, one of the largest squares on the sea in Europe, and enjoy a breathtaking view. Remember to take a couple of selfies as a souvenir!

Now turn your back on the square and walk towards the B&B. This time walking on the enchanting Lungomare Trieste, symbol of the city and one of the most beautiful in Italy.

Once the waterfront is finished, at the end of this tour imagined for you, you will be in Piazza della Concordia. The Collina dei Ciliegi is behind it.

Minerva Gardens

Arechi Castle

Located on Mount Bonadies, the Arechi Castle, built by Prince Arechi II in the eighth century, guards the city of Salerno. From there you can admire a breathtaking view of the city, visit the museum and enjoy a dish with a truly unique view. Guided tours take place every day. From mid-November to the end of January, all the streets of Salerno shine with the Luci d'Artista, an initiative that covers the streets with lights inspired by different landscapes and fairy tales. To visit in particular Piazza Portanova, Piazza Flavio Gioia, Lungomare Trieste, Piazza della Libertà and the municipal villa.
